BARBERINO’S NISSAN & BOB’S DODGE REAFFIRM PARTICIPATION IN ELM CITY RESIDENT CARD INCENTIVE PROGRAM
(5/28/2008) (NEW HAVEN)— Despite attempts by an area hate group to convince Barberino Brothers in Wallingford and Bob’s Dodge in Naugatuck to pull out of the Elm City Resident Card Incentive Program, the two dealerships have reaffirmed that they will continue to participate and offer discounts to cardholders. Last week, the City announced that the dealerships had joined the program and planned to offer cardholders a $1,000 discount on used cars and a $500 discount on new cars as long as the customers showed their cards to salespeople at the beginning of their shopping experience.
“After further consideration of all the issues involved, Barberino Brothers of Wallingford and Bob's Dodge of Naugatuck are pleased to announce that they have decided to continue their participation in the Elm City Resident Card Incentive Program,” said Anthony R. DeChello, attorney for the dealerships. “In many respects we are all immigrants to this country. The dealers’ goal is to sell and service cars and to do their very best to get their customers approved for a car loan regardless of their past credit history.”
The dealers have also agreed to extend the same offer to anyone holding a valid Connecticut issued ID card.
